It’s been a while since our last post, we’ve been busy this summer with camps and trips and theater classes but we’ve taken some good photos and are finally ready to write about them! Our first summer trip was to Winthrop Washington, if you’ve never visited the Methow Valley I urge you to make the trek.

As school was about to get out it was time to get away for the weekend, trying to find the sun as a cold rainy system decided to come down from Canada we headed south to Devil’s Lake Recreation Area in Lincoln City, Oregon. Devil’s Lake could be any PNW lake on the west side of the cascades surrounded by forest with nice views and plenty of available water activities, but one thing that makes it unique is how close it is to the ocean.
Leave a CommentWith winter arriving it always get’s hard to handle the dark wet days in the Pacific Northwest. We were lucky to see a rare long sunny weekend forecast for the coast, so we headed south to Nehalem Bay State Park in Oregon.
Leave a CommentFor our second trip with Birdie (the Scamp) we were a little late for reserving a campsite with RV space. Luckily we found someone had cancelled their reservation (we met them, friendly neighbors that had booked two sites but ended up only needing one) at Curlew Lake State Park just outside of Republic, WA.
Leave a CommentWe have been looking at lightweight travel trailers for a few years now and were lucky enough to find and purchase a 16 ft. Scamp this May! We had to give our Scamp a nickname so ‘Birdie’ we decided was a fitting title. Our first trip with Birdie we went all the way to the south east corner of the state to Field Springs State Park to see the Blue Mountains.
